recipe

Similar to a ‘Sooji ka halwa’, ‘Ravo’ by the Zoroastrians is made in every household on an auspicious occasion. So be it a birthday, anniversary or the Parsi New Year (Navroze), the day starts off with a breakfast of either Ravo or Sev. Eggless versions of this recipe are also made, where in the eggs are omitted and it turns out to be a lighter daily breakfast version of the recipe. This week You! collaborates with Cooking Expert, Zarnak Sidhwa, who shares her recipe for ‘Ravo’...

  • Fry the blanched and sliced almonds and raisins in hot oil.
  • Drain oil and scatter Ravo with the almonds and raisins.
